Some Shipping Updates

Okay, just to give everyone a general FYI: I am currently, more or less, living at work. There have been nothing but back to back shifts and work conferences this week (I’m at one right now as I’m typing this), and any free time is usually spent sleeping before the next shift. As a result, I’m a bit behind in shipments of orders and services and things. Not by a large amount, but enough that I felt it necessary to post this. Starting NEXT WEEK I’ll be filling, packing and shipping orders. Next week things should be more or less back to normal. Work has been VERY busy for me lately, and I also put in a lot of unpaid time making sure programs and things run smoothly on the job. After today I need to rest and take some time to myself, as I’m approaching some degree of burnout, socially and psychologically. I haven’t ignored or forgotten anyone. Once I get my head screwed on straight, I’ll start addressing messages and shipping things starting next week. In the meantime I thank everyone for their continued patience and support.

Feathers from the Sacred Ibis, a holy bird and sacred to Thoth/Djehuty and Hermes. This is a sampling of feathers from the batch from my personal collection. These are completely legal to own and possess and do not fall under the MBTA. They are also absolutely gorgeous in person and my phone camera simply doesn’t do them a wink of justice. The black parts of them are iridescent. Like white feather quills dipped in a scribe’s inkpot, some of them with shadows of quicksilver grey. I am in love with these feathers.

(Some I MAY possibly make available for sale in the future. How and who is open to question at this time. More work and divination with them may need to be done first.)

So I went to see ‘The Witch’ today. For those wondering, it was one of the best movies I’d ever seen.  I encourage everyone to go see it.  It was very well done and well executed.  The atmospherics and soundtrack alone were fantastic.  I hope to write more on this later when I’m less busy and distracted. But I will say this–I’m definitely voting for Black Phillip for president.

Speaking of witchcraft, a feather from the Sacred Ibis, the holy bird of Thoth/Djehuty and Hermes. Recently received a huge batch of these that I will be working with.

Ironic, as right now I’m rocking House of Orpheus Thoth perfume–a scent I received quite a lot of compliments on. More than one person has said this perfume fits me perfectly. I can’t help but fluff my own feathers at that.  This batch of feathers, although extremely rare, are 100% legal to own.  Unlike most bird feathers, the Sacred Ibis is NOT covered under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (given it’s not a native bird).  I’m deeply moved to be able to have and work with them–I had goosebumps as I was running them through my hands.  The black on them actually isn’t completely black, but contains a beautiful, almost oily iridescence that flares up when light hits them in just the right way.  Beautiful.  And very Hermetic.

In any case, time to stick this feather back in my hair and get moving.  I have a migraine brewing and my mind is running like quicksilver, but there are Things to get done, and sitting on social media isn’t going to manifest those.

Today’s pocket ‘fidget’: fossilized claw core from a sabre-toothed cat (Smilodon fatalis). Smilodons were one of early man’s predators. Much like lions, they also lived in prides or close-knit family units. They’re famous for their long, saber-like canine teeth. Smilodon relics are excellent for connecting with deeper ancestral mysteries.
